We got married on 7 September 2025 in Trento, Italy, and wanted to make a donation to NATIVE to help support the school project in Chinemutevi, India.

We had already decided before the wedding to donate 500 Euro for this project because we have been following it for many years through the Friends of NATIVE in Trento and we have known the friends of NATIVE Onlus for a long time: it is with great enthusiasm that they are committed to the children and young people in India.

However, we also wanted to make our wedding guests aware that there are many children in this world who do not have the opportunities like us to go to school, learn to read and write.

We provided information about NATIVE in both Italian and German and prepared photos of the school, put everything together with a plate of rice and a globe placed on a suitcase.

During lunch we talked about the school in India and announced that in the evening we would hold an auction to add more money to this donation.

In the evening during the auction we had the sale of 8 Kalanchoe plants. A healing plant that produces many seeds which then fall around the mother plant and create many new offspring plants.

We wanted to share the message that love sown grows love, and like a light it spreads more and more.

Each plant was prepared in a terracotta pot and had a name. The names were the same as the table names of our guests and corresponded to certain characteristics
of the 8 fruits of the Holy Spirit, such as love, peace, joy, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness and meekness.

During the auction we sold the 8 plants with such incredible speed that we were sorry we did not get more plants.

We collected 212 Euro during the auction and together with the donation we were able to make a transfer of 712 Euro for the school in Chinemutevi in India.

My heart has been following the school for so many years, I pray that the money can be used in a practical way for this wonderful project in India to give the opportunity of a good education to children who otherwise would not have it.

We are very happy to participate.
