On the 8th February, two alumni of NUPS helped in school repair works such as: CC Camera repair, painting the entrance gate, painting the black board, cleaned the grass in the playground for the students to find it convenient during the sports and games periods where students play different sports.

On 22nd of February, government nurses from the Primary Health Centre visited NUPS and provided the deworming tablets called albendazole and Iron tablets to all the students in the school; and for students of LKG and UKG Iron syrup was given.

Swarna Andhra and Swach Andhra, a state Government initiative to keep the school and its surrounding clean and green – is the responsibility given by the ruling state government to every school to follow.  The main intention of this program is to bring the awareness to every student to feel responsible to keep the class rooms, the school premises and the surrounding areas clean.  It is not only about the outside cleanliness but also about personal hygiene such as washing hands after the use of toilet, not litter but to always make a habit to use the trash bin.  As a result, on 25thFebruary, all the students participated in this program by cleaning every class room, the school campus, and the surrounding areas and collected the trash, and burned it.  Later, along with the photographs, the school authorities uploaded the report on to the website provided by the Government.

Also, necessary documents were presented to the R & B [Roads and Buildings) and Transport office.  The State Government Officials visited the NUPS and checked the present condition of school buildings, walls, doors, windows and few other things, and approved the certificate and issued the ‘Soundness Certificate’.  Another NOC (No Objection Certificate) was  issued by the Gram Panchayath (Village Authority) to say that they do not have any objection to have the school in this village where the Government schools are also present nearby.  Another certificate was necessary from PH [Primary Health] department.  The concerned staff from this department sent by the Physician to the school to check whether the sufficient Toilets are available for the total students, and the availability of the drinking water, the kind of the water the students are given –  whether its Government supply or the borewell water. After acquiring these certificates, the Mandal Education Officer [MEO] visited the school and checked the attendance register of the students, admission register, and spoke to the teachers and discussed about the subjects they teach, the availability of the teaching aids, and the furniture for students, the playground, kitchen, wash basins, toilets, drinking water, dining hall and the standard of the students, and also the monthly pay the staff receive, and checked the school application online, and approved and signed the documents and files.  After his observations in the school the MEO said as there are 9 classes (Lower Kindergarten, Upper Kindergarten, classes 1-7), and 5 teaching staff who teach 6 subjects to these classes.  The school needs more teaching staff and one more helping staff, especially to help the kindergarten students near the toilets and in other places.  NUPS also submitted all the necessary documents and files to the DEO [District Educational Office] for the same.

We praise God for providing us the Renewal of NATIVE Upper Primary School Recognition Certificate which was issued by the state government of Andhra Pradesh – this time for 8 years!!
